This July, you’re invited to the heart of the Celtic world, right in the middle of the Irish Sea, for a week-long celebration of traditional music, dance, language and folklore at Yn Chruinnaght Celtic Gathering in the Isle of Man.

For nearly 50 years, Yn Chruinnaght—meaning “The Gathering” in Manx Gaelic—has brought together friends from across the Celtic nations: Ireland, Scotland, Wales, Cornwall, Brittany and the Isle of Man.
This year’s festival takes place from 27 July – 2 August in Peel and Douglas, offering concerts, ceilis, music sessions, lectures and workshops, alongside an opportunity to explore our enchanting island.
Festival highlights will include a sea-themed Celtic variety concert, two large ceilis, an inter-Celtic film night, traditional produce show and the vibrant Peel Carnival.

This year’s performers include Manx/Irish duo Isla Callister and Cathal Ó Curráin, Orcadian musicians Saltfishforty, Welsh mother and daughter Delyth and Angharad Jenkins on harp and fiddle, Manx Gaelic groove from Clash Vooar, young Dublin band Filidh, the Mega Manx Ceili Band and Scottish accordion legend Sandy Brechin.

A special focus for 2026 will be Blein ny Gaelgey – Year of the Manx Language, and Culture Vannin’s Manx Language Summer School, which will also offer lessons through Irish, will run alongside the festival.

The Isle of Man is easily reached by flight or ferry from Dublin, Larne and the UK, making Yn Chruinnaght Celtic Gathering the perfect summer escape and a chance to experience the island’s rich Celtic culture.
